Getting Started
Setting up your school (Admin)

Open CabinOS — click "Set up a new school" on the welcome screen.

Complete the wizard — enter your school name, country, regulatory details, and optionally add team members.

Save your School Code — shown at the end of setup. You'll need to share this with your staff.

Share your spreadsheet — open the Main Spreadsheet link shown in the wizard and share it (Editor access) with every team member who will use CabinOS.
Joining an existing school (Staff)

Open CabinOS — click "Join an existing school".

Enter your School Code — ask your administrator for the 6-character code.

You're in — CabinOS links your Google account to your school's workspace. You won't need to enter the code again.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is my data stored?
Entirely in your Google Drive. CabinOS creates a spreadsheet and folder structure in your own account. We have no access to your data.
My staff member gets "Access Denied" when joining.
Two things to check: (1) Make sure you've shared the Main Spreadsheet with their Google account (Editor access). (2) Make sure their email address is added to the Users tab in the spreadsheet.
My staff member gets "Permission Denied" when joining.
The spreadsheet hasn't been shared with them yet. Open your Main Spreadsheet in Google Drive, click Share, and add their Google account email with Editor access.
I lost my School Code. How do I find it?
Open your Main Spreadsheet → go to the Settings tab → look for the schoolCode row.
Can I use CabinOS without a Google Workspace account?
Yes. A free personal Google account (@gmail.com) works fine. Google Workspace is not required.
How do I add more team members after setup?
Go to the Users tab in your Main Spreadsheet and add their name, email, and role. Then share the spreadsheet with them and give them the School Code.
How do I uninstall CabinOS?
Go to Settings inside CabinOS and click "Remove School". This clears your registration. Then delete the CabinOS folder from your Google Drive. Your data remains in Google Drive until you delete it yourself.
Is CabinOS GDPR compliant?
Yes. All personal data is stored in your own Google Drive, which you control entirely. HEXA Crew Tools has no access to your students' or instructors' data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
The app shows a blank white page or an error.
This is usually a temporary Google Apps Script issue. Hard-refresh the page (Cmd+Shift+R on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows). If the problem persists, contact support with the error message shown.
